This certainly is no hot news for anyone in our business, but we really cannot ignore the release of new versions of the two most popular browsers on these pages, can we?

Microsoft released Internet Explorer 7, boasting lots of new features previously unavailable to users of Redmond’s browser. Most important changes include improved security and better standards support. If you have Windows XP (SP2) or higher on your computer, you can upgrade your browser at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie.

The Mozilla foundation released version 2 of their popular open source browser. The release builds on the foundations of what Firefox 1.5 had to offer, with numerous handy new features such as spell-checking (which told me to add the hyphen between spell and checking by the way), anti-phishing, session-restoring (allowing you to close your browser with 5 pages in tabs and seeing these pages again when restarting), integration of Google Suggest in the browser search-bar, .. Users of Firefox 1.0 or 1.5 (be it on Windows, Mac or Linux) should not hesitate, this is a great upgrade! Download Firefox 2 now!
